FAMILIAR SPIRITS

 FAMILIAR SPIRITS

A familiar spirit are demon spirits who possess mediums who give their wills to them to imitate dead human beings making predictions, promote doctrines etc. There are clear examples in scripture with familiar spirits imitating someone.

Isaiah 8:19
And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter; should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead.

If they speak not according to the word of God it is because there is no light in them

When they seek familiar spirits through wizards and witches, spirits which peep and mutter and imitate departed loves ones thus claiming communication with the dead, should not a people seek the living God instead? God to the law and to the testimony of the written word of God if you want light.
Their speaking not according to the written word of God is because of no light in them v. 19-20. At this very time of Isaiah and King Ahaz, both houses of Israel were in the habit of seeking guidance from familiar spirits like the heathen instead of putting trust in God and seeking His will

For centuries many nations and kings sought guidance from the oracle of Apollo at Delphi, Greece, and the priestesses here. The vulgate renders this by Pythons and diviners. A Python among the Greeks and Romans denoted one that had the spirit of prophesying. It was particularly applied to the priestess at Delphi which included
Mediums and Ghosts and familiar spirits and those who are necromancers and fortune tellers including making contact with the departed dead

7...NECROMANCY...divination by means of pretended communication with the dead Dt. 18:11; Is. 8:19; 1 Sam. 28; 1 Chr. 10:13

All the above practices were and still are carried on in connection with demons and are called familiar spirits. Individuals who forsook God and sought help from demonic forces

A Beginners Guide to Celebrating Hanukkah by En Punto

HANUKKAH REVOLUTION YESTERDAY AND TODAY!   

The darkest nights of winter are lit by the warm, soft glow of a candelabrum shining from the front window of a Torah home. Unlike the boisterous, blinking holiday lights that decorate the other houses along the street, the simple, eight-branched candelabrum burns with a stately, subtle grace. A passerby on the street stops to enjoy the bright candles in the window. He sees children playing inside the house; he hears voices singing; the aroma of good things in the kitchen wafts about the home; there is a palpable sense of joy. The passerby remarks to himself as he goes on his way, "Tonight must be one of the nights of Hanukkah."

The eight-day festival of Hanukkah is celebrated in Torah homes each year. The eight-branched candelabrum (called a Hanukkiah or Hanukkah menorah) is lit. Friends and family gather for festive meals including delicious potato pancakes and pastries. There are entertaining games for children, storytelling, songs, and prayers. Most of all, there is gladness, joy, and light.

GOD is the TRUE HEAD OF THE HOME

This psalm is called the marriage prayer because it was often sung at Israelite marriages

GOD WILL REWARD YOUR DEVOTION TO HIM WITH INNER PEACE

Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in his ways

You will eat the fruit of your labor, blessings and prosperity will be yours

Man is blessed who fears the Lord

May the Lord bless you from Zion all the days of your life

May you see the prosperity of Jerusalem and may you live to see your children’s children

A good family life is a reward for following God

The values outlined in God’s Word include love, service, honesty, integrity and prayer.

These help all relationships and they are especially vital to ones home life

The Word of God transforms our minds whereby we are responsive to the wisdom and guidance of the Holy Spirit.

BLESSINGS ARE ON THE LIVES OF GOD FEARING INDIVIDUALS

If you allow God to be head of your home, he will bless your family with our communication with God being established as we so connect and abide with Christ our Lord and Savior and soon coming King
