Luke 16 – Luke 17:10
Our use of money is a good test of the Lordship of Christ in our life.
Luke 16:1-8
We are to make wise use of our financial opportunities that heaven will be a welcome experience for those we help. When we use our money to help those in need or to help others find Christ, such investments bring eternal benefits.
MAY WE HAVE AN UNSELFISH ATTITUDE IN REGARDS TO OUR POSSESSIONS REFLECTING OUR TRUE RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST
Luke 16:9
God calls us to be honest even in small details anticipating Heaven’s treasures thereby being faithful stewards
Luke 16:10-12
AS WE ALLOW GOD TO BE IN ULTIMATE CONTROL THEREBY EXPERIENCING THE PEACE OF MIND AND SECURITY HE HAS INTENDED; WE WILL THUS BE DEMONSTRATING OUR SUBMISSION TO GOD’S AUTHORITY AND RELATING TO HIM AS LORD
Luke 16:13
An outward attitude of goodness coming out of an evil heart is detestable to God for God knows the true desires of our heart.
OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LORD JESUS IS OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE

CHRIST WARNS THE PHARISEES
Jesus declared the advancement of the kingdom of God as a result of two aspects
PEACHING and PRESSING IN
The gospel of the Kingdom must be proclaimed
And in every generation individuals believers determine whether they will respond to His truth with a sensible mind and a sensitive heart..
To overlook this causes a state of apathy
TO PRESS IN INVOLVES PRAYER, WARFARE ALONG WITH A WILL TO SURRENDER ONE’S LIFE AND SELF INTERESTS IN ORDER TO GAIN GOD’S KINGDOM GOALS
Luke 16:16
JESUS and the WORD OF GOD
Jesus is resurrected being our Savior and Lord and ultimate authority thereby unfolding the truths of God’s Word thereby
confirming that the Word is God breathed
2 Timothy 3:16
We are to be in agreement with the truths of Scripture and the reality of His Kingdom being established affecting every aspect of our being
Matthew 5:17-19
God’s Word is reliable and its truths are dependable for God upholds the truths He unfolds
Matthew 24:35
GOD’S WORD WILL STAND FOREVER
Jesus also confirmed the credibility of the Old Testament

Luke 11 states a single eye for Jesus and we shall be FILLED with the LIGHT of HIS GLORY and PRESENCE
THE QUALITY OF FAITH IS TRULY AFFECTIVE

Jesus warns against many offences in Luke 16
but
FORGIVENESS AND FAITH
Is to be an essential part of our being
Luke 17:1-6
which is available as we so
RELATE TO CHRIST AND SO ABIDE THEREIN
GOD HAS REACHED OUT IN LOVE but alas DO WE RESPOND WHOLE HEARTEDLY THAT WE MIGHT SO ENCOUNTER AND ENTER IN
CHOOSE and SO ENCOUNTER THE LORD TODAY

Psalm 24
THE KING OF GLORY
Everything belongs to God…the glorious eternal King
LET US WORSHIP HIM and WELCOME HIS GLORIOUS REIGN
The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it, the world and all who live in it for he founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters.
Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord?
Who shall stand in his holy place?
He who has CLEAN hands and a PURE heart
Who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false.
He shall rec eive blessing from the Lord and vindication from God his Savior.
Such is the generation of those who seek him who seek your face O God of Jacob
Lift up your heads O you gates, be lifted up that the King of glory may come in
Who is this King of glory?
The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle
Who is he, this King of glory?
THE LORD ALMIGHTY HE IS THE KING OF GLORY
Psalm 24
God values honesty and dishonest communication hinders relationships. Humility and honesty is required to establish a relationship with God. God cannot hear us or speak to us if we are building a wall of self deception based on lies which deceive ones self.
Psalm 24:4
The King of Glory is the Lord of hosts or the commander of heaven’s armies being the Messiah himself who is eternal, holy and mighty.
This psalm is as battle cry for the body of believers looking forward to Christ’s future entry into the new Jerusalem to reign forever

A personal testimony
Years ago I was in India on Evangelistic Mission work and went into a tribal area where they had never heard the gospel.
I was told about how they and their ancestors would see what seemed to be a city in the sky coming closer and closer and I taught them about the New Jerusalem that city where through Jesus we will one day be bid to enter in enjoying the eternal fellowship God has intended
Revelations 21 and Revelations 22
The reality of Christ was so real they wanted to know if the local ministers would teach them about this Jesus whose love could be a part of their life and a local Pastor went in regular after my visits to unfold the truths about Jesus
IT IS A REALITY AND ONE DAY THE NEW JERUSALEM WILL COME AND SPLIT THE MOUNT OF OLIVES

THE LORD’S RETURN AND SUBSEQUENT REIGN IS COMING
Is He preparing a place for us
John 14:1-3
or is He coming in judgment
WHO IS THIS KING OF GLORY?
The Lord strong and mighty, mighty in power and strength
DO WE DESIRE TO HAVE GOD’S PRESENCE BE WITH US
Psalm 24:7-10
INNER HOLINESS IS EVIDENT IN OUR DAILY ETHICS IN LIFE.
DO WE TRULY SEEK THE LORD WITH A HUMBLE HEART WILLING TO TURN TO SO ENCOUNTER HIM

We believe in our heart and confess with our mouth that Jesus is LORD so we shall be saved
