This is Caroline Gaffney's new song "Now is the time"
from her new album "He's coming back; The Lord's return:.

Psalm 27…HELP FOR TODAY and HOPE FOR TOMORROW

God offers help for today and hope for the future.

Unwavering confidence in God is our antidote for fear and loneliness

WE NEED TO ARISE, AWAKEN, BE RENEWED and so RESTORED

Verse 1 The Lord is my light and my salvation

The Lord is the stronghold of my life

Fear is a dark shadow that envelops us and ultimately imprisons our inner

well being. We all have at some point been imprisoned by fear or rejection,

by misunderstanding, uncertainty, sickness or death.

We can conquer fear by TRUSTING in the LORD who brings salvation.

David wrote 'The Lord is my light and my salvation...fact

Be still remaining confident and full of courage with the assurance that the

Lord is faithful promising never to leave nor forsake us.

verse 4 David's greatest desire was to live in God's presence each day of his life

As believers what is our desire? Do we anticipate being in His presence daily?

The work of the Holy Spirit that is available thro our relating with Christ as Lord and Savior which

opens up the opportunity to have daily fellowship with Him

verse 7 We need to turn to God when we experience difficulties.

David sought God's guiding presence every day and when troubles

came he was already in connection with God.

As believers we can call on God for help but alas we are shortsighted if we call

on Him only when trouble comes.

Many of our problems could be avoided or handled appropriately by

seeking God's help and direction beforehand.

verse 10 Many have had the sad experience of being forsaken but our Heavenly

Father reaches forth to fill that void and heal the hurt we have so experienced.

He can direct us to connect with those whom will be His hands extended and

His love is more than sufficient for all our needs when we choose to make the

Lord our guide whom teaches and so leads us to encounter the victory

He has intended.

Can we say with confidence The Lord is my Shepherd? Confidence will

impart inner strength whereby we will experience His power to be a living

witness

verse 13 David was confident that in life God would see him through every

situation and experience. Confidence transpires due to our abiding relationship

with Christ and His word being an active part of our life as well John 15

verse 14 David knew from experience what it meant to wait for the Lord.

He had been anointed king at age 16 but did not become king till he was 30.

During this time of waiting he had been chased thro the desert by jealous

King Saul. David had to wait on God for the fulfillment of his promise to reign.

Later after becoming king, he was also chased by his rebellious son, Absalom.

Waiting on God is not easy but God is worth waiting for.

Lamentations 3: 24-26 calls us to hope in and to wait for the Lord because

God often uses waiting to refresh, renew and teach us.

Make good use of your waiting times by discovering what God may be trying

to teach you

BEHOLD THE LIGHT OF JESUS AND SO APPROPRIATE THE

BENEFITS THEREOF DRAWING YOUR STRENGTH FROM YOUR

RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM.
