We are the final generation, seeing the early intro to unfolding apocalypse.
PROPHECY TIMES TRIBULATION WATCH
Following the Crucial Stages & Deceptions of Fulfilled Prophecy
MICHAEL STANDS DOWN
One of our newest contributors is Tender. He has posted this great article which I am using as a lead-in to my article for this newsletter. Everyone should welcome such a great researcher to the forums.
Contrary to popular opinion, Michael does not "stand up" during the Great Tribulation. He "stands still" or "desists" from his normal role as defender of Israel, thus permitting the Great Tribulation to occur. In other words, the Great Tribulation is not the reason why Michael comes to Israel's defense. Rather, it is because he desists from defending her that the Great Tribulation occurs.
What the King James Version renders as “stand up” comes from the Hebrew word amad. It does not mean to "stand up." It simply means to "stand." If a man seated and inactive were said to amad, he would "stand up." However, if a man already standing and active were said to amad, he would "stand still," or desist, in his activity. Daniel had just been told by the angel who was sharing this prophetic vision with him that Michael was actively involved in the defense of Daniel's people. The angel said to Daniel, "But the prince [a fallen angel] of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me" (Dan. 10:13). Michael was actively engaged in helping Israel. And once again the angel said to Daniel, "But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince" (Dan. 10:21).
What does the word "holdeth" (Hebrew, chazaq) mean? According to Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible, holdeth can mean "to bind" or "restrain." That means, in context, that Michael already had a hindering or restraining ministry against the forces of Satan on Israel's behalf. So when it is said that Michael will "stand," it means he will "stand still," "desist," or "cease" from defending Israel.
This, of course, would be in dramatic contrast to Michael's normal activity described in the words "which standeth [a present, continuous action] for the children of thy people" (Dan. 12:1). In other words, just prior to the Great Tribulation Michael will cease or desist from what was his historically ongoing responsibility of defending Israel.
It would make little sense to tell Daniel that Michael was defending his people in Chapter 12 when he had already clearly told him that fact, not once but twice, in Daniel, Chapter 10. Young's Analytical Concordance to the Bible says that amad means "to stand, stand still or stand fast." And Strong's Concordance cites one of the root meanings of amad as "cease," and one of its definitions as "stand still." A biblical illustration of amad meaning to be still or desist as, "they...stood still [desisted], and answered no more" (Job 32:16).
The question may be raised, Why would Michael, whose normal activity was to restrain satanic attacks against Israel, cease his restraining work? The Word of God gives a specific reason for the cessation of the restrainer's work at precisely that point in time.
Since Israel refused God's truth and rejected her true Christ, God will send on them strong delusion so that they will believe the lie. The lie is that the Antichrist is the Messiah and Deliverer. Paul put it this way: "They received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe [the] lie, that they all might be [judged] who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness" (2 Th. 2:10-12).
The strong delusion comes from God. It is the setting in which the judgment of the living takes place. That is why Michael will no longer hinder or hold down the wicked one. My people have rejected the Son of God for two thousand years. And not only so, but they have severely and unjustly persecuted those from among their own flock who have seen in Jesus the one of whom Moses and the prophets of Israel wrote. God will give them an unhindered dose of Antichrist. As a result - on their backs, cut off, with no human deliverance possible - they will at last look up, and they will see - in the altogether lovely face of Jesus - their long-rejected Messiah.
This observation provides perfect logic for the view that on this occasion and for this purpose Michael will "stand still" - he will abstain, he will not fight for Israel. In military terms we would say “stand down”. When Michael ceases to defend Israel, the "Great Tribulation" will commence.
Daniel wrote of Michael, the restrainer, this way: “And at that time shall Michael stand up [literally, stand still or desist from helping Israel], the great prince which standeth [whose normal and continued ministry had been to help Israel]” (Dan. 12:1); and Paul wrote of the restrainer this way: “He who now letteth [restrains] will let [continue his normal restraining ministry], until he be taken out of the way [ceases his normal ministry of restraining]” (2 Th. 2:7). The parallel between the two is conspicuous.

My Comment:
We have watched the miracle of Israel not only becoming a nation again upon their own land, but with fewer than 20 million inhabitants, it is now ranked 18th in Economic Competitiveness. As we look at this tiny nation which is surrounded by Muslim nations who have vowed to wipe them off the map, we can certainly see Michael actively involved in the defense of Daniel's people today. God would never tell Michael to "stand still" or "desist" unless Israel turned from his protection and put its faith somewhere else.
The center of today’s conflict is Yerushalayim (Jerusalem) which first appears in the book of Joshua and is mentioned in Scripture 632 times. Jerusalem has been the Israelites holiest city since King David first established it as the capital of the United Kingdom of Israel in 1000 BCE, and his son, King Solomon, commissioned the building of the First Temple in the city. According to Jewish tradition, the city was founded by Shem and Eber, ancestors of Abraham. Recent excavations have been interpreted by many archaeologists as lending credence to the biblical narrative, while others disagree.
During its long history, Jerusalem has been destroyed twice, besieged 23 times, attacked 52 times, and captured and recaptured 44 times. Today, the status of Jerusalem remains one of the core issues in the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, 208,000 Palestinians live in East Jerusalem, which is sought by the Palestinian Authority as a future capital of a future Palestinian state. Islamic leaders have made claims that Jews have no historical connection to Jerusalem, alleging that the 2,500-year old Western Wall was constructed as part of a mosque.
Christianity reveres Jerusalem not only for its Old Testament history but also for its significance in the life of Jesus. According to the New Testament, Jesus was brought to Jerusalem soon after his birth and later in his life cleansed the Second Temple. The Cenacle, believed to be the site of Jesus' Last Supper, is located on Mount Zion in the same building that houses the Tomb of King David. Another prominent Christian site in Jerusalem is Golgotha, the site of the crucifixion. The Gospel of John describes it as being located outside Jerusalem.
We can see through God’s inspired Word that Jerusalem has been sacred to Judaism for roughly 3000 years and to Christianity for around 2000 years. But Islam has only held it as sacred for approximately 1400 years.

Most of you know that I believe that History repeats itself and scripture always interprets scripture along with Prophecy always performing a platform for another Prophecy. To understand what is about to happen in the coming days in an accelerated and intensified rate, we must both go back to scripture to view what has happened in the past as well as research historic events.
Forewarning concerning Egypt!
Behold, the LORD is riding on a swift cloud and comes to Egypt; and the idols of Egypt will tremble at his presence, and the heart of the Egyptians will melt within them. And I will stir up Egyptians against Egyptians, and they will fight, each against another and each against his neighbor, city against city, kingdom against kingdom; and the spirit of the Egyptians within them will be emptied out, and I will confound their counsel; and they will inquire of the idols and the sorcerers, and the mediums and the necromancers; and I will give over the Egyptians into the hand of a hard master, and a fierce king will rule over them, declares the Lord GOD of hosts. (Isaiah 19:1-4 ESV)
We can see through history that these prophetic verses were fulfilled and Egypt suffered greatly under Assyria’s king as well as other tyrants from various nations in the following centuries. However, are we not about to see this again become fulfilled today as well if they vote in the Muslim Brotherhood?
• Is not Isaiah 19 reading like today’s newspaper headlines?
• Are we not witnessing prophecy being fulfilled right now in real time?
The Egyptians for good reasons wanted to come out from under the cruel dictatorship of its repressive regime, but the Muslim Brotherhood high-jacked their intentions which will bring their dream to naught on June 16th. The Brotherhood's credo is, "Allah is our objective; the Quran is our constitution, the Prophet is our leader; Jihad is our way; and death for the sake of God is the highest of our aspirations."
Egypt is not the only Middle Eastern country in the news these days however. The overthrow of Muslim governments is widespread and the Brotherhood wants to replace individual governments with a single Islamic state, known as the caliphate.
Ancient Assyria was located in north Mesopotamia and spanned four countries: In Syria it extends west to the Euphrates River; in Turkey it extends north to Harran, Edessa, Diyarbakir, and Lake Van; in Iran it extends east to Lake Urmi, and in Iraq it extends to about 100 miles south of Kirkuk. This is the former Assyrian Empire, from which the ancient Near East came to be controlled and today is the heartland of the Middle East.
Assyrians practiced two religions throughout their history: Ashurism and Christianity. Ashurism was, of course, the first religion of the Assyrians. The very word Assyrian, in its Latin form, derives from the name of Ashur, the Assyrian god. Ashur was the Star God which was a version, or copy, of the Babylonian Creation myth, and chief of the host of heaven. Assyrians continued to practice Ashurism until 256 A.D, although by that time, most Assyrians had accepted Christianity. Indeed, Assyrians were the first nation to accept Christianity, and the Assyrian Church was founded in 33 A.D. by Thomas, Bartholomew and Thaddeus.

However, today we see that it is the radical centre of Islam.
• Syria with a population of 22,505,000 and is 90.0% Muslim.
• Turkey with a population of 73,722,988 and is 99.0% Muslim.
• Iran with a population of 76,923,300 and is 98.0% Muslim.
• Iraq with a population of 31,234,000 and is 97.0% Muslim.

As Egyptians prepare to vote for their first post-Mubarak president next week, the hostility towards Israel espoused by the frontrunners aligns with the findings of a new survey, in which 61 percent of Egyptian respondents favor abandoning the Egypt-Israel peace treaty of 1979.
http://cnsnews.com/news/article/egyptians-want-ditch-peace-treaty-israel-poll-shows
The main terms that were laid down in the treaty limit both the parties to abstain from carrying out any hostile activities and to demilitarize Sinai. The result of this treaty was that Israel withdrew its forces from Egypt. Moreover, it gave up settlements, the military bases, the infrastructure that it has taken over and Sinai oil fields as well. This created a permanent border between the two countries and initiated a process of normalization.

And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. Daniel 9:27 (KJV)
Notice the word “confirm”, this will not be a new treaty but a confirmation of one that already exists. The question then is, what will make the new government of Egypt confirm this agreement, what will Israel need to give up in the desire to feel safe?
Also notice the words “and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease”. Today Israel is not sacrificing for they want to reinstate it upon the ground of the original Temple and it is believed that both the First and Second Temples were built upon the same foundations located somewhere on the Temple Mount.
Is the Muslim Brotherhood about to be the new government of Egypt? In the tight race for presidency, the Muslim Brotherhood has reaped benefits from public fury over former leader Hosni Mubarak. This outrage appears to have taken away the widespread skepticism that the Islamic Brotherhood is as domineering as the old rulers.
What will The Muslim Brotherhood require to resign the peace treaty and will Israel put its trust in YHVH/God or a peace treaty signed by ones who vow to wipe them off the face of the earth?
I believe that the Muslim Brotherhood will do whatever it takes to make Palestine a legal recognized state which would have to include half of Jerusalem. Are we on the threshold of Israel giving up its God given right to Jerusalem for a signed treaty of peace and permission to again sacrifice on the Temple Mount beside the Dome of the Rock?
As Israel, in my estimation, is on the threshold of putting its trust in a signature on a covenant made by man, which will be broken. Over the very covenant given them by God Almighty Himself, will God tell Michael to "stand still" which issues in the great seven year tribulation? Old Testament history repeated says yes.
The DOOMSDAY CLOCK for end time events is even now ticking loudly.
• Do you derive your pleasure in righteousness or unrighteousness?
• Are you right with your Lord and Savour or would you also look toward man or your government for protection?
• Is your faith truly grounded upon Christ or are you waiting for the antichrist for deliverance from the impending global upheaval?
A fast approaching, earth catastrophic upheaval so immense and grand in scale is now imminent. As Michael and his angels stand back, giving us an unhindered dose of the Antichrist that will certainly affect not just Israel, but every aspect of life as we all now know it. All for the reason that Israel and the majority of the world have chosen to reject the promises of God and the true Messiah with His message of Love and Salvation. God is again about to reach out the only way that many unfortunately will ever be able to hear His voice and thus come back unto to Him, through tough love.
We Are on the Edge of a Total Social Breakdown
On the heels of news out of Greece that a 60-year-old man and his 90-year-old mother leaped to their deaths because of financial despair, today King World News interviewed MEP (Member European Parliament) Nigel Farage, to get his take on the ongoing tragedy and crisis in Europe. Farage told KWN that “we are on the edge of total social breakdown” and “the banking system is now in the most perilous state we’ve seen in over 70 years.” Here is what Farage had to say about the deteriorating situation: “Well, the situation in Greece just goes from bad to worse. We’ve now got a situation where there was the big suicide a few weeks ago, where a 77-year-old man shot himself in the head outside the Greek Parliament. That was the public face of what’s gone wrong.”
Nigel Farage continues:
“But do you know that every day there are people that are literally leaving their children at the doors of the Greek Orthodox Church, with notes around their necks saying, ‘We cannot afford to feed or look after these children, please take them from us.’ Can you imagine that?
This is taking place inside Europe. This is taking place inside a once great nation. The nation that invented democracy. We are on the edge of total social breakdown....
/default.aspx?ctl=ctl_forum_topics.ascx&ID=4257
What is now happening in Greece is just a foretaste of what lies ahead when the global economic picture collapses. Not only will we see mass suicides, but can you imagine handing over your children to officials because you can no longer feed and care for them? Things will be so much worse than any of us can truly imagine when Michael "stands still".
What sites like Prophecy Times reported a year ago and said would transpire, which was seen as out of control conspiracy by many, is now coming to fulfillment. Today Greece, tomorrow the world!
Not all of us can invest in gold, but when money loses all its value the most valuable thing you could possible own is a can of beans. This is the first generation not to have a 6 month supply of food basics stored in a pantry, this must change NOW.
Your children will thank-you.
My advice is to forget the guns and everything else the survivalists say you need, put your trust in Christ. But by adding 10% to your weekly food budget now for future use, it could keep you from knocking on the FEMA CAMP doors to avoid starvation. You also need a water purification system.
As Christians seem to be largely ignoring what is now transpiring, the world is just now waking up to events currently being fulfilled that were prophesied thousands of years ago. Many are for the first time in their life, truly searching Biblical Prophecy out of both fear and curiosity. Now is the time to get the comments going in the forums so they can see the different perspectives of how current events relate to prophecy, and prayerfully I hope, get the true message of God’s salvation plan before it is too late. It is better to offend someone on earth and see them in heaven than to be politically correct, worried about what others may say or think, and then see someone you could have reached go to hell. Out of 800 plus visitors a week to Prophecy Times, with your added comments, how many are just a mouse click away from salvation or doomed to eternal damnation?
The Great Tribulation period before Christ returns just may be closer than you think.
How do we know this? Out of all the times of global crisis in history (and yes there have been many), why now? Because never before in history has there been a time when ALL the signs predicted in Biblical prophecy heralding the end of days, the tribulation period and second coming of the Son of God been so blatantly evident.
I believe that we are about to face the purging judgment of the living through Tribulation and when all's said and done, how many will at last look up, either in fear or joyfully, when they finally see the lovely face of Jesus - our Messiah?
Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. (Revelation 19:11 ESV)
