2012 Olympics

The last time that England held the Olympics was in 1948, the very year that Israel became a nation. The headlines in the NEW YORK TIMES read, Zionists Proclaim New State of Israel, Truman Recognizes it and Hopes for Peace, Tel Aviv is bombed, and Egypt Orders Invasion.

Following World War II, the British Mandate of Palestine came to an end at midnight on May 14, 1948. The 1947–1948 civil war in Mandatory Palestine started on November 30, 1947, the day after the UN General Assembly voted on the UN Partition Plan. It finished on May 14, 1948 when the Jewish People's Council approved a proclamation which declared the establishment of the long sought after state of Israel in their ancestral homeland. Israel was thus born in a year when the Olympics were held in England with Egypt declaring war. We are again seeing Egypt under a newly elected Muslim Brotherhood declare war upon Israel and the takeover of Jerusalem as their new capital as we see yet another Olympics held in England in July 2012.

The ancient Greek Olympic Games were first held in Athens, Greece in 776 B.C. The games were part of a religious month-long festival that was held in honor of the false 12 Olympian Greek gods. Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Demeter, Artemis, Apollon, Ares, Athene, Aphrodite, Hephaistos, Hermes, Dionysos, and Hestia who governed the universe and commanded the legions of lesser gods and spirits. In 609 A.D. Pope Boniface IV banned the ancient Olympics and all the pagan religious festivals in its pursuit to increase Christianity and become a more stabilizing political force throughout Europe, The Pope turned the Pantheon in Rome where they held not only the Olympic games, but also threw the Christians to the lions as a sporting event, into a church and rededicated it to St. Mary and all the Christian martyrs.

The modern Olympic Games were first held in their homeland, Athens Greece in 1896. Now as we approach the 2012 Olympics in England, the country largely responsible for the revival of the Olympic Games after their massive success of the first World's Fair in London in 1851 which lead to the founding of the International Olympic Committee in 1894.

The world now waits in bated breath as we witness the great false god worshiping nation of Greece teeter on the verge of total financial collapse. A once great Olympic people so indebted and broke that everyday more and more parents find themselves desperate enough to drop off their children to the Greek Orthodox Church for they can no longer feed or care for them. A country that has fallen so low since they ruled the world, that as they default, they just may take down the entire European Union in a domino effect, and thus the whole greedy money indebted world.

Is it an accident or God ordained that the 2012 Olympic logo spells ZION? Even Iran has seen that the jagged representation of the year 2012 clearly spells out the word "Zion" and has threatened to boycott the London Olympics unless the organizers replace the official logo for they claim it represents a veiled pro-Israeli conspiracy plot.

It all could just be coincidence, but with so many different signs all lining up at the same time, is it a mere twist of fate that can be ignored? I do not personally think so.

The world is laughingly saying, Bible thumpers have been claiming that Jesus will return since He left 2000 years ago, why now?

Yes many have set dates which have come and gone throughout time with no second coming. But a quick study of these dates finds that they were always based upon one interpreted event. We are the first generation since Christ ascended back up into heaven to actually witness the sequence of thousands of different signs and events that are all coming together in a devastating prophetic manner. John, Daniel, Isaiah and other prophets along with Christ all predicted great and terrible events for these, the last days. 

We read the daily newspapers that now read more like the Prophetic book of Revelation than world current events. Newscasters tell of horrendous turmoil’s throughout all the earth’s elements and we hear of wars and rumors of even more wars. Biblical Apocalyptic Signs currently being witnessed throughout every aspect of our modern life style, our global world, as well as space that without doubt all point to the fact that we are the final generation.

From the Olympic Games to the novel, Hunger Games, we see the latest box office smash hit take us into the not too distant future where the Capitol selects a boy and girl from the twelve districts and forces them to represent their districts in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV. "The Hunger Games" has unsettling parallels to the early Christians in the Pantheon as well as to our present age and the Soros-Sponsored Agenda 21.

Agenda 21was reaffirmed at the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) by George H.W. Bush and 177 other world leaders on August 26 to September 4, 2002 in Johannesburg, South Africa. It is a comprehensive plan of action to be taken globally, nationally and locally by organizations of the United Nations System, Governments, and Major Groups in every area in which humans impact on the environment which includes but not limited to, private property ownership, single-Family homes, private car ownership, individual travel choices and privately owned farms. Agenda 21simply put, is a tool to control all the people of the world to establish the One World Government of the antichrist.

I believe without doubt that we are now the prophesied final generation that will one day soon look up and observe the long anticipated return of our Messiah and King, Jesus Christ.

I do not set dates and, NO, I am not saying that Christ will return right in the middle of the Olympics, but as we watch the world race towards a total economic collapse and the possibility of full out war in Syria that will see Damascus cease to be a city and become a heap of ruins (Isaiah 17:1), can we remain in denial that 2012 is a very prophetic year as we watch the fulfillment of prophecy happening right now before our very eyes?

The Apostle Paul’s stay in Corinth during his second missionary journey (Acts 18) may have overlapped with the Olympic Games in 49 A.D. when he wrote with athletic imagery and compared it to our Christian walk of faith.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. (2 Timothy 4:7 ESV)

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified. (1 Corinthians 9:24-27 ESV)

I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:14 ESV)

As an athlete dedicates his life to winning the race, we can look at our spiritual life as a race with the gold medal being eternal life. This must not be confused with winning in life on earth and getting ahead in temporal gains. It means that as life throws hardships, struggles and tribulations our way we must remain focused upon Christ and the “unfading crown of glory” and look upwards to our chief Shepherd’s appearance (1 Peter 5:4) just like an Olympic athletic focuses upon their finish line.

Our focus should not be what others may think, but that moment of glory and honor as victors crossing the finish line, our destiny which is heaven, when we hear the words. ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’ (Matthew 25:21 ESV)

When “Hallelujah” will be our trumpet cry for the Lord our God, the Almighty reigns. (Revelation 19:6)

And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short. (Matthew 24:22 ESV)

This is in reference to a cutting short of the 42 months of Revelation 11:2. But do not measure the court outside the temple; leave that out, for it is given over to the nations, and they will trample the holy city for forty-two months.

Are we just about to see Jerusalem trampled by war for the next 42 months?

and the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, in which she is to be nourished for 1,260 days. (Revelation 12:6 ESV)

Some Bible scholars believe this verse portrays Israel at the beginning of the great tribulation period. Others interpret it as following the Abomination of Desolation at the Middle of the Tribulation Week when Israel flees from the betrayal of the Antichrist, with whom she had confirmed a treaty or covenant at the Beginning of Daniel's Seventieth Week (Daniel 9:27). I hold to the second view.

Will Israel end with the 2012 Olympics in England as it started in 1948?

Or will we see the signing of the peace treaty with the Antichrist that will begin the Tribulation?

Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you. For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness. (1 Thessalonians 5:1-5 ESV)

We do not know the day or the hour that the trumpets will blow or when Christ will return, therefore date setting is totally un-biblical. However, as children of God’s light, we are to know the season and not be taken by surprise.

According to the signs given us to watch for in Scripture, we are now within that season.
